Francisco Cordova a native of Pueblo, Co., and long-time resident of Denver, Co. He may be contacted for counseling, substance abuse evaluations, and clinical supervision for Certified Addictions Counselors.
Francisco has been a community interventionist for the past four years. As a community interventionist he provides Anger Management, Street Smart, Cognitive and Relapse Prevention Groups. His private practice is an approved provider of The Colorado of Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) to provide Minor in Possession (MIP), Treatment specific to Minors and DUI Education and Therapy.
Francisco was nominated twice for SAMHSA's 2012 Voice Awards. His training with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has included HIV Risk Reduction Counseling, and Rapid Testing. His latest training with the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center has included STD, HIV, TB, Hepatitis, Family Planning and Addiction and Prevention Research Institute® Prime For Life®, an evidence-based prevention and intervention program, helps people learn to reduce their risks of alcohol and drug related problems throughout life. Prime Solutions®, an evidence-derived curriculum for use within your addiction treatment program, helps counselors apply evidence-based practices in a way that is easier for counselors and more engaging for clients. He has been working in our metro communities with adolescents for the past four years and adults for the past six years both in outpatient and inpatient settings.
